About the Organization Established in 1964, VFFA is a non-profit membership organization, under 501 (C) (3) of the IRS code. We are incorporated for your protection. We aim to support, coordinate, develop, promote and implement the volunteer fire departments throughout Arizona. During the 2005 VFFA Convention held in Thatcher, AZ the Executive Board and general membership present voted to change the name of the organization to Volunteer Fire Fighters of Arizona – VFFA. This name change helps the organization be better identified with those whom it serves, the volunteer in the fire service in Arizona. The Executive Board of the VFFA consists of:
